TESTIMONIAL
"I just finished reading and taking notes on the Ebook. I loved every
minute of it.!!! It was well worth . . . it. I
went yesterday to help a friend redo her family room. I had helped her redo her
living room last year and armed with my new knowledge on area rugs, I ran to
Walmart of all places to pick up one in the 4X6 size to see how it would look in
front of her sofa. Voila !!! The perfect color, the perfect size, it was made
for the room. I was so excited that I was the one jumping up and down and she
was laughing. I did take before pics of the family room, we rearranged that,
but she wanted me to stop as she didn't want me to make it too cute or her
husband would not let her get new furniture ... so, we will deal with the new
stuff as we get it. Thanks so much for everything and all of your easy to
read and easy to understand concepts." - Sue Mortensen

DECORATING TIPS FOR THE
BEDROOM
Make an attractive headboard out of a carved panel of wood, or an old wooden door. Get a
panel as close to your bed size as possible, or have it cut down to size at your lumber yard.
Fasten it to the wall directly behind your bed and you have a stunning headboard. An old iron gate used
the same way makes an equally stunning headboard.)
Make a canopied bed easily and inexpensively with fabric that matches your bedspread and
two long curtain poles with ornate finials. Place one curtain pole directly over the bed where the wall
and ceiling meet; place the second pole on the ceiling approximately two or three feet from the first
pole. Extend the fabric up the wall behind the headboard and let it drape between the two curtain
poles.
Match your headboard to your bedspread. Make or buy a quilted floral spread and get extra fabric.
Cut out a few quilted flowers from the extra fabric and paste them in a pleasing arrangement on the wall
at the hed of the bed.
Make a portable dressing table out of an old tea wagon. Attach a fabric skirt around it; use the
shelves for cosmetics, perfume, etc, and place a mirror on top. It wheels conveniently over to the
window for daylight makeup.
Give your bed a decorator look with a swag at the headboard. Use three brass towel rings with
an ornate design (a sunburst, dolphin, etc.) as the holders; make the swag with a fabric that blends
or contrasts with your bedspread. (Note: Towel rings and fabric used in tis manner also make a
decorative window treatment.)
SEMINAR TESTIMONIAL
"I want you to know how much I enjoyed the unique
connecting event you put together. It was really very informative and a lot of fun. I also enjoyed
the hand outs you provided of the room designing charts. That really enables you to utilize the
information without actually even being in your own home. You gave me a lot of great tips and
ideas for my own home. I also really enjoyed meeting the other girls there. They were a great
group. I can tell that you really put a lot of thought and effort into this activity.
Thank you so much for sharing your time and gifts with us." -- Lori Smith, Costa Mesa, CA
