The Black and White Color Scheme
The tricky part is to make the space look interesting. To do that effectively, you need to have a great furniture arrangement, plenty of pattern and a variety of textures. Be sure to mix a cool black with a cool white; mix a warm black with a warm white.
Notice the attention given to textural changes in these two photographs. From the soft, furry-like fabric on the sofa in upper image to the ornate design behind on the free standing shade, to the hard, smooth surface of the figurine in the picture below and the whimsical black and white images on the wall, there is a lot of variety to spruce up these rooms and keep one's interest peaked. This is especially important when you are decorating in a monochomatic scheme, whether one color family or two. Here are some currently hot frames that are
